(Garden after rain, one of my favourite things. I love the smell of the earth after a good drenching) small collage embroidery, 2012.
I had a compulsion to reblog this post that I pressed back in February. For two reasons, firstly I like the Pueblo Indian prayer very much. Secondly, a few people I know have had to cope with the after effects when suicide has touched their lives this year.
I’m dedicating today’s blog to anyone who is struggling. I hope you can find some light in the dark.
Hold on to what is good,
even if it’s a handful of earth.
Hold on to what you believe,
Even if it’s a tree that stands by itself.
Hold on to what you must do,
Even if it’s a long way from here.
Hold on to your life,
Even if it’s easier to let go.
Hold on to my hand,
Even if I’ve gone away from you.
